Process 3 – Broker

  • Receives listing and accepts in the dashboard (when a sell my boat form has been completed)
  • Contacts the customer and discusses selling the boat with Boatshed and commission rates
  • Sends a request to Process 4 for an online listing agreement be sent
  • Arranges with Process 2 to take the photos and record the boats inventory
  • Check the details that Process 2 has uploaded and activate boat if satisfactory
  • Remove the boat name from photos (if Process 2 hasn’t already done this)
  • Being involved with the listing from when we first receive it
  • Carrying out a valuation
  • Informs the owner the boat is now live on the system
  • Requests a new on the market campaign from Process 4
  • Dealing with customers questions
  • Managing the local person (Process 2)
  • Respond to customer enquiries and 5 view alerts
  • Arrange any physical viewings after pre-qualifying customers and ensuring that the viewing takes place
  • Liaise with owner/process 2 with regards to viewings
  • Discuss price reductions with owners
  • Relay offers and offer negotiation to buyers and sellers
  • Managing the sales process and ensuring that the deal stays on track
  • Arrange survey/sea trials
  • Liaise with marine/yard for outstanding amounts
  • Arrange post sale handover of keys/paperwork (with assistance from Process 2)
